Regional Training Site-Maintenance team support all components of the Army with multiphase MOS reclassification training, NCOES, Transition/ASI and Sustainment training. It is the sole source of 91A10/30 and 91F30 training for reserve components.
The RTS-M has maintained a strong standard of excellence, ensuring that all instructors and staff are highly skilled and certified on the cutting edge of training and technology. This has lead them to assist in quality assurance oversight for all ordnance training conducted in Idaho, California, and Hawaii RTS-Ms.
Throughout its inception, the RTS-M has trained Soldiers from all 54 states and territories, U.S. Army Europe (USAREUR), and U.S. Army Pacific (USARPAC). The facility and faculty are equipped to train up to 1,200 students a year.

CMF 91/94 ORDNANCE SLC
This resident course provides training in leadership, verbal, and written skills, Tactical Operations Management at Brigade level and higher, Logistical Operations management at Brigade level and higher. Manage administrative procedures and training programs at company level.
Special Information:
The Human Resources Command selects NCOs and makes reservations for course attendance in Army Training Requirements and Resource System (ATRRS). NCOs who have been selected for promotion and are performing in, or pending assignment to, a duty position for which the training is designed will be scheduled to attend SLC. Attendance will be on a priority basis as allocations become available. The training priorities are based on the Order of Merit List (OML) outlined in AR 350-1.
M1 ABRAMS TANK SYSTEM MAINTAINER PH 2
Military Occupational Specialty training covering the subject areas of publications; special tools; test measurement and diagnostic equipment (TMDE); fundamentals and principles of Air Turbine engines, fuel, exhaust, cooling, electrical, track, suspension, steering control, and hydraulic systems; Basic AC and DC Electronics; M1A2 v2 Tank Turret Systems Maintenance; and preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS). This training will enable the graduate to inspect, service, lubricate, replace, adjust, test, purge, repair, and troubleshoot the systems and components of the M1A2 SEP v2 tank.

Training in performance of field level maintenance on automotive wheeled vehicles, wheeled vehicle operations, introduction to troubleshooting, fuel system maintenance, electrical system maintenance, power train maintenance, chassis, suspension, and steering maintenance, brake maintenance, preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS), common maintenance subjects, TMDE, publications, maintenance forms, use and care of tools/power tools, shop safety, AFES, Air Conditioning, CROWS System and maintenance discipline.
Special Information:
Graduation Requirements (Subject to Provisions of TRADOC Regulation 350-6)…………………………….NOTE: All training specified below, as required for graduation, will be made up if missed, and must be recorded on the DA Form 1059. The Soldier will be required to meet the performance/learning objectives specified in the POI for the instruction missed. Time required for makeup training will be determined locally……………………………………Pass MOS-specific tasks as identified by the proponent school, which includes occasionally pushing/pulling (on wheels) up to 100 pounds (General Mechanic’s Tool Kit) up to 25 feet individually; lifting/lowering 100 pounds 4 feet, and carrying 25 feet as part of a two Soldier team (prorated 50 pounds per Soldier) while wearing/carrying ~80 pounds of uniform and combat equipment (can be carried intermittently).

WHEELED VEHICLE MECHANIC ALC PH 2
To provide the student with the knowledge and skills required to diagnose automotive AC systems, medium, and heavy wheeled vehicles, and material handling equipment.
SMALL ARMS/TOWED ARTILLERY REPAIRER PH 1
This Phase contains training on Basic Knowledge and Skills (General Publications, Automated Data, DA Forms, PMCS, Shop Safety, Common Tools, Precision Measuring Tools, Power Tools), M590 Shotgun; M110 Semi Automatic Sniper System; M249 Machine Gun; M240 Machine Gun and various fire control components on towed artillery.
SMALL ARMS/TOWED ARTILLERY REPAIRER PH 2
This Phase is ADT resident training conducted at the TASS Battalion, RTS-M or the proponent designated schoolhouse. Subjects include: This Phase contains training on maintenance of shoulder and had fired weapons; heavy machine guns; the M224, M252 and M120 Mortar systems; the M3 borescope; and cannon tube evaluation.
SMALL ARMS/TOWED ARTILLERY REPAIRER PH 3
This phase is includes M242 automatic gun, the M777 medium towed howitzer; the M119A2 light towed howitzer; and introductory artillery subjects.
SMALL ARMS/TOWED ARTILLERY REPAIRER ALC PH 1
This Phase will consist of resident training Basic Knowledge and Skills, and in the field maintenance of M1A1 Abrams tank components, Bradley Fighting Vehicle components, Tactical and Logistics Operations, and mandatory subjects.
SMALL ARMS/TOWED ARTILLERY REPAIRER ALC PH 2
Phase 2 will consist of resident training in the field maintenance of M109A6 Self Propelled Howitzer cab components, and Fire Control components. The student must also participate in an STX.
Special Information:
To receive credit for 091-91F30-C45 ALC, the NCO must complete all phases of the course. All phases are taught at a regional TASS Training Battalion site.
WHEELED VEHICLE RECOVERY OPERATIONS
Operating, servicing, and using wheeled recovery vehicles and equipment, to include the procedures used in rigging, recovering, and towing of wheeled vehicles. Army Regulation 750-1 states that wheeled and tracked recovery vehicles will be operated by properly trained and certified recovery personnel. At a minimum, there must be at least one wheel recovery ASI H8 certified recovery operations individual in the vehicle while performing recovery missions using wheeled recovery vehicles.
TRACKED VEHICLE RECOVERY OPERATIONS
Operating, servicing and using track recovery vehicles and equipment; procedures used in rigging, recovering and towing of track vehicles. Army Regulation 750-1 states that wheeled and tracked recovery vehicles will be operated by properly trained and certified recovery personnel. At a minimum, there must be at least one wheel recovery ASI H8 certified recovery operations individual in the vehicle while performing recovery missions using wheeled recovery vehicles.

Students will be assigned ASI H8 upon completion of the course.
