Resilience is a holistic concept. It isn’t a single skill to learn, a class to take, a PowerPoint to watch, but it is the result of a complex calculus of factors. It is the result of a person’s social connections, family support, trust in leadership, physical health, sense of purpose and meaning in life, goals to be achieved, emotional awareness and fitness, by which a person draws strength from in overcoming adversity.
The Suicide Prevention Program has resources to help those who may be feeling like committing suicide, those who know someone who may be considering committing suicide, or those who wish to help prevent suicides.
