Command Sergeant Major Kevin A. Dean
Command Sergeant Major Kevin A. Dean is a native of Blackfoot, Idaho, and a graduate of Snake River High School. CSM Dean joined The Idaho Army National Guard on 20 February 1993. He attended Basic Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.
He currently resides in Blackfoot, Idaho, with his wife Tonya.
Throughout his 27 years of service he has served in every enlisted leadership position from Fire Support Specialist, Assistant S4 NCO, Supply Sergeant, Battalion Fire Direction NCO, Targeting NCO, Readiness NCO, PSD Platoon Sergeant, Battalion Operations NCO, First Sergeant B Battery/1-148th Field Artillery and Command Sergeant Major, 1-148th FAR, and to his current position as IDARNG State Command Sergeant Major.
His military education includes five different Military Occupation Specialties and completion of all NCOES courses.
